Dear Vera, (Xavier);
It was a pleasure to finally do a search on the web and find that you have a site. I have been an Adult Entertainer (stripper)in mostly New Orleans, for 9 years now. I too was born to a Christian mother but reared by a faithless Christian father. I was given the nickname "Xavier" in highschool and it seemed a perfect fit for a stage name when I took the plunge into being an exhibitionist. I have never met another dancer who used my name, and have considered Registering as a D.B.A. for tax purposes and to legally prevent other girls from using my chosen name. Once or twice I graced New York with my stage presence and was asked to choose a different stage name. I refused and stood my ground., indicating you as a first line of defence to not change my name. It worked. I wonder if you have ever looked to Clara Bow for any of your inspiritation? -Sherri age 29 -

Hi Xaviera, it's been a long time since I've heard of you in the normal press. Great to hear you are married, and happy with it now. I heard through the grapevine that Katja has cancer, and I am sorry to hear about that. Best wishes for you, your new hubby, and your latest incarnation.

Dear Xaviera - it has been many many years since we corresponded, 25 years, and I cherish all of your letters. I thank you for being a kind and gentle absentee mentor to me. I hope you are wonderfully happy and will continue to be. Love and warmest wishes for you and yours.

Congratulations on your marriage!
I first read your book in 1972 when I was 16. I just reread it and am now 50. I still love it.
